Ardgowan Hospice is top UK healthcare employer

 

 

 

For the fifth year running, Ardgowan Hospice has been placed in the Top 100 as an outstanding healthcare employer.

To be placed in the prestigious Top 100 list, employees complete a confidential questionnaire, answering 65 questions about how they feel about their employers. Employers also complete a survey to confirm that employment policies and practice are in place. In total this year nearly 300 organisations took part and 35,000 questionnaires were analysed by Ipsos Mori.

The List is sponsored by the Health Service Journal and the Nursing Times.  The Department of Health and NHS Employers both recognise the value of engaging with employees and involving them in all aspects of delivering care.

It has been shown that there is a definite connection between staff who feel they are involved in decisions which affect their work and patient satisfaction levels.

Ardgowan Hospice is delighted to be placed at number 15 for Independent Healthcare organisations in this year’s survey and hopes to improve on the score for next year.
